What is new in hair trends of 2016-2017
Some designers opted for extensions that give the sleek tresses a rather long and beautiful look, blending in perfectly as the colors matched. We saw that at Boss, at Carven and at Elie Saab, at H&M and many others. It was lovely to say the least and the additions only made the fall/ winter 2016-2017 hairstyles appear more entrancing.
There are those who opt for really defying logic though and adding on the fake hair in a different manner. This includes Givenchy, as expected, with the “punk kind of ‘70s British street girl vibe” to it. Wigs cut into caps appear here with the dye a couple of shades off from the natural so that it clearly appears to be more of an accessory than the hair itself.
Plus, the textures are often different, with short thick waves seen over a much straighter natural fall to the tresses. The idea at Givenchy is not to fit in, while Carven opted for the opposite.
